Heart Unit's Rules & Regulations

These rules were last updated on: 2 February, 2010

These rules are made not only for the members of Heart Unit, but also for the staff to abide by as well. Any breach of these rules, by a staff member or a regular member will not be tolerated and appropriate action will be taken to justly punish the rule breaker whether it be a warning, a suspension, or a ban from Heart Unit.

Please ensure you read these rules all the way to the BOTTOM to ensure a quick application process

Section A - General Rules


A-1: Respect Members and Staff
A-2: Use Common Sense and Maturity - this includes not flaming other PC groups and dealing with complaints and concerns properly rather than creating friction.
A-3a: Remember the Golden Rule
A-3b: No discrimination, racism, slander or similar
A-3c: Do not tell anyone that rule B-5 is missing.
A-4a: No spamming or advertising
A-4b: No Pornography or Explicit or Offensive Content (including RS display names)
A-4c: Don't be an idiot
A-4d: Don't piss off the staff
A-5: Report Members for breaking Heart or Jagex rules with screenshot or video evidence
A-6: Register only your RuneScape name on the forum and on IRC.
A-7a: Follow Jagex Rules
A-7b: Account Sharing either HEART UNIT or RuneScape accounts will not be tolerated.
A-8: If you are a member of Heart Unit, you may not belong to any other Pest Control group, blacklisted clan* or use the
world of other Pest Control groups. Evidence indicating you are in violation of this rule will result in your account being banned.
A-9: Do not view the World Page while not at Pest Control. (See also C-5.)
A-10: Do not ask for or hint about wanting a promotion. The only exceptions to this is when requesting the Squire, Paladin or PC Staff ranks.
A-11: Signature and Avatars must be under 400kb combined and should not be so large they cause the page to display improperly.
A-12: Your account is your responsablility. Thus you are responsable to make sure your computer stays Keylogger and malwere free while a member of Heart Unit.
A-13: All members must notify the Heart Unit staff if they change their Runescape display name.
A-13a: If a member chooses an offensive RS display name or does not appear in the RS hiscores for any reason, they are not eligible to PC with Heart Unit until this has been resolved.

Section B - IRC Rules

B-1a: Follow the General Rules
B-1b: Respect the staff, no harassment
B-2a: No spamming/flooding in irc - Bots are prohibited but scripts that do not spam and have the permission from staff are allowed
B-2c: No Notice or Ctcp Spam or channel advertising
B-2d: Do not abuse the use of colors in IRC
B-3: Do not go into other PC Channels without advance permission
B-4: Register on IRC with your RuneScape Name ( elites and Staff members may use other nicknames if they wish to in #heart )

B-6: No discrimination, racism, slander or similar
B-7: No ban evasion - use the Appeal a Ban section if you wish to appeal
B-8: Do not tell others the #heart key
B-9: Impersonation will not be tolerated

Section C - Game Rules
C-1. Follow General Rules Continued...
The General Rules from Section A all apply whilst at Pest Control.
C-2a. PC Entry Requirements:
To be accepted into Heart Unit as a Squire, you must be level 109+ combat (F2P)
C-2b. Pures:
Regardless of how powerful you claim to be, if you are not 109+ combat, you may not play Pest Control with Heart Unit.(F2P)
C-3a. Leaking:
You are not allowed to tell the Heart Unit Pest Control World to anyone who does not meet our combat requirements.
C-3b. Recruiting:
The active recruitment of new members is ENCOURAGED. If you recruit someone ensure they list you in their application. Please note that giving the current PC world to players who do not meet our combat requirement is a violation of Game Rule C-3a.
C-4a. Private Chat:
While at PC, please keep your Private chat to Friends or OFF. If you have Heart Unit staff added on your list (And they don�t know/want you added), you may be accused of having your Private Chat On when they search for Rule Breakers.
C-4b. World Changes:
During world changes and for the first 10 minutes following a world change Private Chat needs to be set to OFF. The reason for this is to help limit and cut down on the chances of the world being leaked.
C-5 Responsibilities for Faster Games:
Only be at PC when you intend to pc. This means no Splash training spells, no idling in games, and no alching on the docks. (Alching is acceptable whilst inside the lander waiting for it to leave however) Please refer to our PC handbook for more information on how to make Heart Unit PC faster.
C-6. Banned/Blacklisted Friends:
It is permissible to have Banned/Blacklisted people on your friends list, but your chat must be turned to "OFF", before and while you are PC'ing on our current world.
C-7. Account Sharing Continued...
As described in A-7b, account sharing with another player to earn points for them is a severe issue as you break both Jagex and Heart Unit Rules.
C-8. Playing Whilst Suspended:
If you are suspended from Heart Unit, for breaking one of the rules, under no circumstance shall you continue to Pest Control with Heart Unit until your suspension ends.
